Circulation Services

The Motley County Library circulates about 9,000 items, including books, music CD's, videos, DVD's, audio books on cassette and CD's, large-print books and paperback books.  The circulation period is two weeks.

Youth and Teen Services

The Motley County Library has an extensive children, youth, teen and young adult section.  Items from this section may be checked out for two weeks.

Reference Assistance

Reference assistance is available at the library or by telephone.  There may be a delay in receiving the information since the Motley County Library is a one-person library and the librarian may have to wait on other patrons.

The Genealogy Collection

The Motley County Library has an extensive genealogy collection. Many Texas county histories are available and information from almost every state in the United States.  The library also has extensive census records on microfilm.

Community Spaces in the Library

The Motley County has a large meeting room that may be rented by the public.  Call the library at 806-347-2717 for more information.

Internet Access at the Library

The Motley County Library offers free Internet access to library patrons and to travelers.  There is a $.25 per-page charge for printing from the Internet computers.

Copy Services at the Library 

The Motley County Library has a copy machine for use by the public.  For one-sided, 8 1/2 X 11 paper, the charge is $.20 a page.
